We are changing the way that students print in an effort to alleviate some of the printing problems that you may have experienced in the past. The steps that you will need to take are listed below. On the console of the printer there will be a login dialog box. Enter the last 4 digits of your student id to login. Your pending print jobs will be listed and you can release them to print from there. If you have any questions, reach out to the IT staff and we will be happy to assist you. In addition, you can send an email to itsupport@johnmarshall.edu to open a ticket.
Steps for windows
-
Option 1 (Easiest):
- Connect to the JMLS_WiFi wireless network.
- Open Run (Windows Key + R) and enter \\delta.johnmarshall.edu\studentprint
- When prompted for your user name type: johnmarshall\yourusername. (example: johnmarshall\tsmith). Next enter your password and then check the box to “Remember my credentials”.
- When prompted select the option to Install Printer Driver.
- When the installation completes a window will appear labeled StudentPrint on Delta. If you see this window the printer installed correctly.
Use the student printers located outside the library on the 18th floor or the
printers located near the student lounge on the 17th floor. Log in with the last four digits of
your student ID. Email print jobs from your JohnMarshall email to mobileprint@johnmarshall.edu.
Select your print job on the printer screen and print. Print jobs are available for 24 hours. This
method is a bit slower as the printer must process attachments. Accepted formats are MS
Office, PDFs, and images.
Option 2:
Steps for Mac
- Connect to JMLS_WiFi.
- Open Printers & Scanners in System Preferences
- Click + to add printer > Windows > JohnMarshall Network > Delta > StudentPrint
- When prompted, enter email address and WiFi password. Check “Remember this password”.
- In Add Printer, select StudentPrint again and choose PCL Printer.
We encourage you to first attempt the installation on your own. If you encounter any issues, please open
an IT support ticket by emailing itsupport@johnmarshall.edu. We will provide solutions in the ticket
response. If those do not resolve the problem, we are happy to schedule an in-person appointment for
additional assistance.
