The curriculum breakdowns listed below by academic year (E.G. 2020-2021, 2021-2022) show the required courses that a student of a particular year in law school (1L, 2L, 3L or 4L) would take each semester during the given academic year. The courses for full-time students, part-time evening students and students seeking the Criminal Justice Certificate are shown in separate breakdowns for each academic year.

First year, Spring Semester: Students will take one of courses offered as “1L electives” as their fifth course in the
spring. Registration will generally be determined by student preference, but size limits on the enrollment for those
courses may mean some students do not receive their first preference. Additionally, students who are still struggling
to adapt to the requirements of law school (as measured by first semester GPA) will be registered into the Legal
Methods 1L elective.

Certificate courses.

To complete the program, students must complete 300 hours of approved field work and take a CJCP workshop that is not for credit during their third year.
