Career Highlights

Prior to joining the legal writing faculty at AJMLS, Tanya McAdams practiced real estate law at a large firm based in Atlanta, where she served as a managing attorney for the firm’s offices in west Georgia. During her tenure, she was her region’s primary lecturer, and she taught classes weekly to brokers, real estate agents and junior attorneys on a range of legal topics, including effective writing. Earlier in her career, Ms. McAdams practiced employment law, serving as an advocate for employees who were victims of discriminatory practices in the workplace.

Ms. McAdams was privileged to serve as a law clerk to Magistrate Judge Linda Walker in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, and during law school, she was a Research Assistant and one of the Managing Editors of the John Marshall Law Journal. She was also the Valedictorian of her law class.
